A busy checkout needs a short, repeatable process. The cashier should know what to display, what confirms payment and when to ask for help.
01 / Prepare the device
Use a supported, updated device with reliable connectivity and restricted staff access. Confirm the store, currency display and invoice amount before the customer scans.
02 / Confirm in your system
Use the merchant’s trusted payment interface to verify the payment state. A customer screenshot or wallet animation is not a substitute for the merchant’s own confirmation.
03 / Rehearse exceptions
Practice an expired invoice, a failed attempt and a connectivity interruption. Define when to create a new invoice and how to avoid collecting twice for the same order.
04 / Close the shift
Reconcile orders against the payment records and review unresolved exceptions. Use an approved refund process; do not improvise a destination from an unverified message.
